You don't have to have the "Pro" account with Canva to create a cute invitation. There are so many free items and templates to use! But you do need to have or create an account with them.
Here is a Step by Step:
1. Go to Canva.com.
2. Create an account or log in to your account.
Now that you are in, you have the choice to start a blank design or use a template. I recommend beginners to start with a template. Everything is customizable. Once you get a hang of using the website, you can design an invitation from scratch. But for this "How To", I will be using a template.
3. Search up "Birthday invitation" in their search bar.
4. Pick a template.
There are a variety of invitations from elegant ones to more playful invitations. Think about the age the birthday person will be. This is also something you can search, if you wanted to narrow down the search. For example: "50th birthday invitation" or "5th birthday invitation". If you have a theme in mind, you can also search by that. For example: "unicorn birthday invitation".
5. Once you have chosen a template, you can customize it to your needs and liking. On the left, we can see the tabs if you want to search and add something to the template. If not, clicking on the specific parts of the template will allow you to edit the text.
6. Once you edit the text to your information, you can download the invitation at the top right side. You can share, download, or even send to print your invitation straight from Canva.
